About Ussen

Ussen was born in 2008 and was the brain child of Lee Taylor and Keith Dawson.
The whole idea came about after the trend of fashionable outdoor clothing had replaced functional products. A lack of real thermal underwear meant that during the winter of 2008 the two lads were left wearing base layers, which were fast wicking and help control body temperature but did not offer any insulation.
Ussen was born!

In 2009 Ussen created the very first thermal garments in the range, and with some serious help from alot of people in the trade, we started to build some very clever little products.
Over the next 12 months Ussen ironed out the creases and began to sell more and more products into specialist outdoor stores. The military quickly caught on to the fact that Ussen made very good thermals and sales were growing.

In 2010 Ussen made a very brave decision.
For as long as we have a good strong business, we will make all of our products right here in The United Kingdom.
Our background is in manufacturing here in the UK, so lets see if we can make it better and Bigger.
